The article presents the results of a study problem fulfilling maternal responsibilities during war. attention is focused on different roles that mothers play war, possible responses motherhood to challenges It emphasized war breaking point for society and each family, test morality nobility human spirit. A just defensive viewed as an ethical existential challenge provides tragic opportunity reveal moral qualities, leading rise spirit, in conditions when aggressor trying brutally destroy them. noted gender issues wartime were considered feminist discourse since mid-twentieth century. Traditionally, researchers have such women's anti-militarists, women victims, volunteers, soldiers. woman can several changing her attitude events, degree activity, priority roles. role multiplicity remained outskirts humanitarian discourse. emphasizes perform wartime, depending age there children, territory residence, military service adult child, etc. mother immanently assumes responsibility burden sacrifice, which has specific historical character significantly increased hostilities. variants are not deterministic, but teleological, those depend system qualities woman. who serves army, volunteer mother, saves young children given examples.
